GROVE IN TOWN MEETING NYC 3/10

APCG CELEBRATES ITS 65TH BIRTHDAY

                                                             By Jeannie

Welcome!

The party was immediately festive as birthday party trappings decorated the space at SAGE headquarters on West 27th street. It is the Arts Project’s 65 birthday!

It was just the right amount of people for the many tables set up

Always a happy event as old friends comes together after a long winter’s separation.

Panzi our new president did double duty attending both the Florida and NY reunions

The theme of this year is Unity of the Community

And she listed the many parts of the Grove d from the Doctors Fund to the Archives.

Sal announced he is retiring from managing the Ice Palace and then listed a slew of events he will still host and organize which made his initial statement questionable.

.

.

Our homecoming Queen 2112 appeared in proper daytime attire, Panzi wore a palazzo outfit

Jack Quinn and Curtis Strohl created a frisson of excitement as they announced they were getting married at church the next morning handing out invitations to everyone. The crowd sent them off singing My Fairy Lady’s “I’m Getting Married in the Morning” as the crowd clapped

Phil once again catered and the team of volunteer servers, after serving the long line, charmingly went table to table with trays of desserts

Lets hear it for the chef!

AS a bunch of us crowded into the elevator someone announced old people first – and then we looked around and all laughed. We all qualified. Sal said he was lucky he was with 25 people that liked him.

Can’t be long now till summer!
