APCG In Town Party
Photos & by Jeannie

The brief spring-like weather turned wintry Sunday March 4th but it was bright and sunny inside East of Eighth, 254 West 23rd Street, an airy place with excellent food and staff which proved a great choice for the Arts Project’s annual In Town party.

For me it was the usual challenge of matching winter stubble-d faces with those of summer’s smooth skinned super glam queens as smiles and hugs of recognition traversed the room.

The energy level was high as CeeJay proudly announced the big news that an agreement was reached between the Community Association and Arts Project which made the Community House/theater sole occupant for the next 5 years.Indeed all the heads of state were there – Joanne of the Doctors Fund, Isaac Vaughn of the Ice Palace, property owners assoc Larry Kane, et al.

Ceejay also extolled the exciting summer schedule featuring new and traditional events confiding there were so many that it took weeks of planning to fit everything into the list until it was “just right”.

As they were leaving many said, “ see you next month” instead of “good-bye”.
