Billie Ann's review

Grande Dowager Diva Billie Ann Miller returned, after missing last year due to an unfortunate accident,  to welcome all to the 13th Annual Imperial Court  revue at the Ice Palace. This year's theme was "The Envelope Please" An Evening of Awards (a clever way to get performers onstage), as presenters and winners mixed and matched so that everyone got a chance to perform on Harold Seeley's lush Academy Award  set. Regally seated onstage she turned the MC duties over to Rich Parisi and Demi Tasse

MC-s Parisi & Demi Tasse mambo-ed their way through "Copa Cabana" before presenting awards

The first of the "winners" was Fantasia & Geful Tefish singing "You & Me" in close harmony, Tefish appropriate in a Victor/Victoria outfit combining trousers with drag.as they launched into a snappy softshoe routine.

Winners: Angela Mercy & Peter B, an oddly romantic couple, singing "If I Tell You"

Award Presenters Francis Xavier & Ginger

Winner: Ariel as a demented doll turned evil little girl in her typically schizophrenic number "I Want It Now" (how does she find these songs?)

Demi Tasse in Gown #2, a stunner designed by Tony Altieri

Martha selling 50/50

Who could resist such a pretty thing?

Hard workiing Donna works the room in the Chinese Auction.........( her first)

with Rich as back-up - a tough job well done by both

Winners: Ann Tigue & Ron sing "You're Not Sick You're Just In Love

Winner: Bella commanded the stage in true veteran manner as she swirled and swooped her way through Pearl Bailey's "Dolly" number

are they in love or is she after the money in his hand?

Craig Hollywood romances the audience  singing "Too Good to be True" while handing out roses

handsome Ron.......more announcements

Vivacious Verna Turbulence shimmies up a storm in a rapidly diminishing costume

Winner: Ann Tigue, a tall column in sequinned plaid, proving you can look cute and sexy, even at 7' singing "Almost Like Being In Love"

Demi Tasse concludes her duties as MC in gown #3, a stunner in sparkly white

Billie Ann finally took the stage singing "I'm in the Mood for Love"...and there was lots of love to go around, thanking Isaac Vaughn and the Ice Palace for being one of the few places to always open its doors to AIDS fundraisers. The proceeds of this evening benefit The Cherry Grove Arts Project and the Imperial Court, a global charity organizaton.

An up close moment with Donna, congratulating her on a job well done!

Hey, Big Spenders...y'all come back next year!
