KFD COMEDY NIGHT IN KISMET

The Kismet Fire Department hosted its annual “Comedy” night on June 27 at the firehouse.  The full house was treated to beer, wine, camaraderie, and yes, comedy, featuring four of Long Island’s own comics.  With a particular local twist to their routines, MC Rob Chioffi  introduced Scotty Jay ( who has an East Coast following ), Chris Roach ( the Green Pixel in the Cable TV commercials), Jim Gallagher ( who has played Comedy Central ),  and Tim Homayoun  an Iranian born comic  (comics in Iran? Hmmmmm) and former Saturday Night Live writer.

 

 Judging from their size and routines all of the comics had eating issues, except for Tim (Food is not an issue in Iran apparently).  Rob complained about affirmative action, having lost a job at Curves, while Chris complained about  the extra large fashions at Wal-Mart, where the selection for “good luck getting laid clothes”  left a bit to be desired. Rob pointed out that “red wine prevents heart attacks and increased your chances of banging a fat chick”. Chris’s facial expressions were as good (if not better) than the jokes themselves.  He just looked funny.  At the end Patty Romanzi was the winner of the 50/50 drawing, and she deserved this, being one of the organizers.
