KISMET NIGHT AT SURF’S OUT

We were the lucky ones out of several “opening” parties since the weather was good. Also, unlike the first group which clamored for food, Kismetics were able to enjoy the open bar while waiting to be seated. The staff both behind the bar and serving the tables was terrific, endless patience among an “exuberant” crowd. Dennis was particularly verbal abut his happiness with the way things turned out i.e. Karen who plays multiple roles in the care and creation of the restaurant from ideas to details, bought blue stemmed martini glasses which just happened to match the tile inlaid on the bar which matched the barstools, etc. Dennis has exciting plans for entertainment, one of which is a keyboard play-off with three competing musicians. Whatever it is – it is all good and all unique to Kismet.

.

Sam was inspired to thank those involved and give credit where due:

Regarding the Surf's Out renovation, Sam Wood designed and built the interior of the restaurant for the partners Paul Barbara the boss of all bosses, Matthew Barbara the detail guy, Dennis the fixer Sommeso, and Dean Cerrella the Kismet Virgin.  Special thanks go out to Rose Ott the decorator, Leanne Liotta for all the graphic design, signage, and logos, Thomas Morse Construction for all the heavy construction and outdoor work, Michael Belford the attorney, Paul's assistant Mary Torturro, Cody Baker for the woodwork, Dave Lambie electrician (who was talking to his screwdriver by the end).and last but not least Duke for helping make it happen.  The locals appreciated these stimulus dollars being poured into the community.

Good thing the waterfall is near the spiffy new bathrooms

May they always be this busy…………….WOW

Whatever you say……..(Caroline keeps smiling)

We’re happy because our food’s coming

Sam must be talking……..

Look! We’re color coordinated!

Did they just set off sparklers?

They control the waterworks – be nice to them

Why are they staring at Carl?

Is that the new food critic?

Jacques must have said something really funny – or is it the wine…

“Land Baron” Greg giving Paul advice – he looks skeptical (Caroline keeps smiling)

Judging from these grins the food must be great!

How’s the food? I can’t eat till you’re done.

Kismet’s woman power!

A couple of Bills (there were so many options here – I played it safe)

Mooney smiling at all the customers the ferries and water taxis will bring.

Ready and waiting for some good weather!!!
